An inseparable connection

 While  The small birds chirp sweet songs I'm reminded  Of those sweet words which whispered me to sleep While  The scented flowers bloom overnight I'm reminded  Of the jasmine flowers adorned on my mother's hair While  The looming green mountains with patches of brown pass during road trips  I'm reminded Of the one mountain I woke up to and slept, While  The cold water runs down my sweaty back I'm reminded  Of those nights my father came back from work all exhausted and sweaty I'm reminded of those sacrifices made for a family!  - Bharathi Senthilkumar I think this poem is quite personal regarding the specific details I've highlighted. Although it is one of those sensitive topics many people keep with themselves, I couldn't hold on the overwhelming gratitude that fills me each time I think of my family members!

Looking back!! (Does my haughtiness offend you?)

This poem by Maya Angelou that reminds you of where you've come from, it highlights what you've crossed and insists on where you're headed. Words cut deeper than knives!! In her voice!! Beginning the new year

Those last days of December when everyone was sulking that an entire year has gone by, I felt like I've actually lived through the year. When I look back, I'm astonished by the number of things I've learned from all those innumerable mistakes. I've become more desperate to make an impact and change the environmental situation we've brought on ourselves. I now see where all the poverty is coming from. It isn't not that the rich remain rich and the poor remain poor. It is only genes that comes through the generations it isn't the state of living. What we need education on, is how to handle life when you get cheated on. Moreover, how recognise who is cheating on you and how isn't. I feel these are the things that we need to learn in order to change the standard of living. Sitting on the edge of my teenage years I realised I'm still asking childhood to take my hand and not to let go . I've just gotten an introduction to what this world can do. The ...
