National Science Day 23'

In our coded society Science is the decoder It helps us connect with new people and embrace our differences In this complicated natural world Science is our first step towards understanding it  Pondering on the stars, oceans and rocks has bought us to a place of saying " I understand something"  I wonder what we will be capable of saying if we begin pondering on how to solve the problems we have bought on ourselves.  I think the most unique thing about Indian Scientists is that they haven't stopped with their contribution in discovering or inventing important scientific phenomenon. They have taught us various life changing concepts. From learning to move on after major setbacks to being humble on the face of grand success.  On this note I would like to thank our scientist for working extensively to develop the nation. Happy National Science Day '23 -Bharathi Senthilkumar

Book review - Ignited minds

“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning. Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power Within India" is a thought-provoking book written by former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. This book is a blueprint for India's progress, as seen through the eyes of one of the country's most visionary leaders. The book covers a range of topics, from science and technology to education and spirituality, and offers practical solutions for the development of India. Dr. Kalam's writing style is simple and straightforward, making complex ideas easy to understand. He stresses the importance of education and encourages readers to take an active role in shaping their own destinies. The book is full of inspiring stories and motivational anecdotes that serve to illustrate Dr. Kalam's points. One of ...

An inseparable connection

 While  The small birds chirp sweet songs I'm reminded  Of those sweet words which whispered me to sleep While  The scented flowers bloom overnight I'm reminded  Of the jasmine flowers adorned on my mother's hair While  The looming green mountains with patches of brown pass during road trips  I'm reminded Of the one mountain I woke up to and slept, While  The cold water runs down my sweaty back I'm reminded  Of those nights my father came back from work all exhausted and sweaty I'm reminded of those sacrifices made for a family!  - Bharathi Senthilkumar I think this poem is quite personal regarding the specific details I've highlighted. Although it is one of those sensitive topics many people keep with themselves, I couldn't hold on the overwhelming gratitude that fills me each time I think of my family members!

Looking back!! (Does my haughtiness offend you?)

This poem by Maya Angelou that reminds you of where you've come from, it highlights what you've crossed and insists on where you're headed. Words cut deeper than knives!! In her voice!! Oh that laugh is one deadly deed!!! I've melted in admiration for her strength. Still I Rise A heavy dose of motivation !! - Bharathi Senthilkumar

Beginning the new year

Those last days of December when everyone was sulking that an entire year has gone by, I felt like I've actually lived through the year. When I look back, I'm astonished by the number of things I've learned from all those innumerable mistakes. I've become more desperate to make an impact and change the environmental situation we've brought on ourselves. I now see where all the poverty is coming from. It isn't not that the rich remain rich and the poor remain poor. It is only genes that comes through the generations it isn't the state of living. What we need education on, is how to handle life when you get cheated on. Moreover, how recognise who is cheating on you and how isn't. I feel these are the things that we need to learn in order to change the standard of living. Sitting on the edge of my teenage years I realised I'm still asking childhood to take my hand and not to let go . I've just gotten an introduction to what this world can do. The ...

The mountains {from the foothills}

 Oh,how mighty you stand  Overlooking the human band Without swaying or sighing  You embrace all those wandering You remind us of how small we are for we seem to forget; it is bizarre A great big home to those who grow Despite of your size; its intriguing how you flow Water or fire Wind or sun  You store all those forgotten memories Everytime I take a look It seems as if I'm reading a book written only for me! - Bharathi Senthilkumar After 6yrs of growing at the foothills of a mighty mountain I take immense pleasure in getting to go back and spend days being there again. This profound experience bought back loads of memories and a sense of achievement in having grown and guiding other children!!

TODAY ; )

                      Our world changes a lot Yesterday seems to be lost Tomorrow needs to be fought for Today feels like a no-man land Laying open, only to be  harassed by the thought of yesterday or motivated by the dreams of tomorrow The memories of the past Those days went by fast The anxiety for the future  This wait feels like torture What a tug of war it is to live in now! My imagination is wild enough My reality seems to be tough After all, It is these differences that make today !!! - Bharathi  A short poem I penned while pondering on what is now ......I'm quite unsure if it's all real and conscious. (and completely unsure if that even a question ~~)  I can see quite clearly that I'm evolving, but am I in this concept of now?  If I am where do I really fit in? These holidays seem to have begun with this kick start of being sure of who I am. I thought i have discovered myself over the self-lear...
