Is this the place to explore??

Two harmonious siblings Mano and Meena lived in an apartment in Chennai. They had all the time to play as all their friends were also in a lock down.Their happiness knew no bounds to playing all day. They spent the whole morning in the car park while the nights were silent while all the children slept. It seemed like the car park had become more of a children’s park as the cars become an EXPLORING TOOL.

It all seemed like dreamland until the man had invaded the car park.He was a very strange man as he wore very tattered clothes and worn out flip flops. His presence caused them a lot of discomfort. He Always seemed to be up to something. All the parents got concerned as the man was unsafe. Therefore they told children that they will have to be back to the house by the time he comes. The children followed this for a few days but they got quite hopeless when the lock down got extended for two more weeks while they were always grounded.

Mano and Meena were curious about the man as he was the cause for their cut in the play time.Being urged by their curiosity they decided to stay back and see what the man was actually doing. So that afternoon when all the other children left Mano and Meena stayed back. They hid behind of the big cars and waited for the man to come.It was only after a few minutes that he came in with a different kind of dress. But what really surprised them was just as he came the akka's next door came as if it was planned in very exposing dresses .Menna being elder than manu sensed that something is going to be wrong and covered Mano’s eyes. The man then covered all the places where the light came from the sun.Now the whole place was completely dark.Mano was extremely sacred and scampered . This made a noise that disturbed the man.So He came very close to the car and saw if someone was there . The children maintained pin drop silence so the man assumed that it was from the neighbour's house and left.Mano then looked at Meena pleading her to get out of there. But then meena seemed to be ready for it with a laser light. She shined the light at the man for a second and took it off. This time the man was sure that someone was there moved towards the car. Mano quickly crouched and meena covered herself with the black shawl she got.The man now started walking so fast towards meena that meena’s shawl almost started flying. But the children's mom came running down from the kitchen with a ladel in her hand. She ran so fast that she stopped a few space away from the man.She raised her hand and hit the man hard on the head with the ladle. The Man fell at her feet from the sudden attack while Meena and Mano hugged their heroic mom for saving their lives.Their mom smiled and said, “Please don’t do such naughty things without informing me. But now that the man's out, your playtime has gone back to the whole day.”

Art vs AI

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, many artists and creative professionals are growing concerned. Just as the Industrial Revolution automated manual labor, AI now seems to be taking over intellectual and artistic work. From writing and research to art and learning, it’s quite agonizing to watch AI make even our minds complacent. Sure, AI offers the benefits of speed and efficiency. But if we start accepting vague reproductions of a lifetime’s work, it raises serious concerns about how we express perspectives. The key difference between human-made and AI-generated art lies in emotion . Every word, brushstroke, and musical note carries the weight of personal experience, cultural shifts, and societal narratives. Art isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about storytelling, struggle, and human connection. AI can be a useful tool, but it shouldn’t replace human artistry. It lacks the ability to feel, dream, or rebel —qualities that define great art. Instead of letting AI...

Apathy's Anchor

A lone tree  claimed  the land,    Lost in its own silence .  It  held fast , though winds did roar,  And birds sang,  unheard .  Fixed in its gaze , The cows moved, the clouds drifted.  For how could a rock ever truly smile?  Or a desert ever truly weep? - Bharathi Senthilkumar

Book Review – Democrazy

I recently read Democrazy during a long train journey from my hometown to Chennai, and it was quite an engaging experience. The book offers a satirical take on democracy, exploring why ordinary citizens often feel they can question the system but find it difficult to bring about meaningful change. While referencing the famous phrase “for the people, by the people”, it examines how the idea sometimes appears complicated in practice, despite being outlined in one of the longest constitutions in the world. The author uses humor and sharp observation to present scenarios that oscillate between amusing and thought-provoking. The narrative describes different forms of challenges faced by citizens—such as bribery, exploitation, and bureaucratic hurdles—through a cast of fictional characters: a head of government, an ambitious family member, a veteran party member, an influential industrialist, a sincere journalist, a socially active citizen (particularly on social media), a strict school prin...
