Decoding Inside out

I think emotions, expressions are directly proportional to the experiences we have every day.  The emotions are an outcome of your reactions to various situations. The way you react before you can think is like an indication that your subconscious mind has already programmed many situations.  But you can never decide on how you will react until you're in the situation. These pre-programmed reactions are  our interpretations of the actual events that are going on, rather than from specific emotional feelings. The five main emotions visualized in Inside out -  anger, disgust, fear, happiness, and sadness is a broad classification of a whole range of emotions. The amount of each emotion felt in a moment is unobservable once your consumed by a feeling. Maybe  that's because c ertain emotions are  correlated meaning they often rise and fall together that you're not able to specify the exact feeling. Especially during a sad phase. B ut if you are able to s...

If I were to go back to those days

If I were to go back to those days  When I woke up to fresh pollution free air .... would I remind myself that this air will not be there later If I were to go back to those days When there were tall trees full of healthy green leaves, to climb on.... would I tell the monkey in me bye If I were to go back to those days When my barefoot slushed on mud and rainwater.... would I tell my shoes- you'll have a lot of work to do from now on If I were to go back to those days When I was surrounded by mountains in all directions.... would I tell my solitude self, enjoy these moments for I know it would be impossible to feel this way again If I were to go back to those days When I could recognise my dad's bike approaching amidst a few bird calls.... would I ask myself if I can find his bike sound amidst 1000 other bikes If I were to go back to those days When I savoured the mangoes and wood apples, I plucked from trees .......would I remind myself these are the last fruits you plucked fr...

Free mind

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls Where words come out from the depth of truth Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit Where the mind is led forward by thee Into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake. We all know this is a free verse written by our freedom fighter who fought with the power of words.  I read this poem after our triumph celebration of the 75th Independence Day of India.  I was left alone with heaps of questions......But to begin with - have we actually gotten freedom? I mean each moment of the day even small children live within the prison of their feared minds. What will me teacher say if I didn't finish this......What do my friends think about me?? A few things we c...

New people , New mindset??

Suddenly when there so many new people introduced in my life, I feel caged by my conscience.  Meeting people with different characteristics tends to blow a breeze in these silent lands. Then understanding their personalities, Trying to hide those reactions which I will be judged by, it's quite a mind workout day in and day out.  Accepting differences, slowly getting into a routine I never imagined myself in It's moving a little fast to process what it is actually Finding reason in why people act obnoxiously with spontaneous bursts of energy, Questioning my pre-conditioned mind to let go of the selfishness of only getting my things done Learning about their interests and attitude towards life, left me awestruck with the realization that I only saw the world from my eyes. The knowledge that I'm going to be stumbling upon them for the next three years posed all the things I'll have to change about myself and all the characteristics I already feel bursting out of my mind Th...

Moontivating

Moon day is celebrated on July 20 marking the day in history when man landed on the moon for the first time. It was on July 20, 1969,when Apollo 11 carried two Astronauts to the surface of the moon. As the sphere in shades of grey rises in the night sky , My mind begins wandering into the world of ambitions The phases of moon looks like a pictorial representation of the phases of our life The waxing and waning - from the full moon to the new moon The knowledge and experiences gathered from incidents that didn't particularly go the way you expected it to,  the success and motivation acquired from turning points in life During the lunar eclipse the acquired red shade tells us that when your colours change the entire world admires you greatly Its uneven rocky surface marks that it is impossible to be perfect if your the light in the path you are making!! - Bharathi Senthilkumar

GUILT

Guilty is the mind that has not accepted what your heart has. Guilty is that mind which looks over a 1000 possibilities knowing that the first one has already happened, Guilty is the mind for dreaming of the perfect world all alone Each time I pick up those dirty plates I see the leftovers  the guilt fills me as  I remember the boy begging by the hotel The young girl whose cloths hung over her fragile skeleton The baby on her back crying in hunger. Each time I see the garbage hills and land fills I'm engulfed in guilt The guilt of ignoring that sight and not doing anything about it The guilt of ignoring in spite of the knowledge that its going to affect my planet , my generation Each time I see water leaking out off an unfixed tap  I'm immersed in guilt as I can feel the scorching sun burning my skin I can imagine what would be left of the ozone if we continue global warming at this rate Each time I come across an article on a religious conflict    I'm fill...
